About Author & Publisher EF Clark
Do you recall the good old days of ink ribbons and whiteout?
While not exactly an eccentric childhood recluse (or a nerd, for that matter thank you very much), I do remember being elated to receive a portable avocado-grayish Smith-Corona typewriter on my 10th birthday. Oh how I annoyed my siblings plunking on that little machine in the backseat of my father's car on long summer road trips.
Whether scriptwriting television and radio commercials for the family music business, writing songs, drawing & illustrating, or creating multimedia promotions, I have thoroughly appreciated combining writing, art, and marketing.
I've been fortunate to enjoy a variety of endeavors, such as being an entrepreneur, singer/songwriter/musician, artist, author, and serving in ministerial capacity as pastor & worship leader. I'm focusing most of my time on writing these days, and I sincerely appreciate your interest in EFC Publishing!

A Penny From Heaven?
As an author, one of my favorite subject matters is historical fiction, like "TO SENSE WORTH." The idea to write a novel about the first Lincoln "wheat" penny traveling through history came to me in August 2009. While clearing the backyard of a house in the sweltering Texas heat, I found a penny amidst a pile of debris. And the first thing I did? Check the date, of course. It wasn't old, but can you imagine all the places a penny could travel and the stories it could tell?
Researching the origin of the first Lincoln penny, I was shocked to discover it had first been minted to commemorate Lincoln's 100th birthday in August 1909, exactly 100 years before, to the month! At that point, I knew I had to write the story. Sometimes humorous, sometimes heartbreaking, I like to describe it as "Forrest Gump meets Black Beauty." Find out more about To Sense Worth.
OPT in! Overcoming Personal Tragedy
Abounding with Scripture and the testimonies of fellow travelers, OPT in! Overcoming Personal Tragedy takes a fresh perspective on the issue of suffering and grieving. Drawing heavily from the journey of mourning the murder of my wife of 16 years (and the mother of our children), OPT in! examines the many facets of the often controversial subject of God's plan for suffering. More HERE.
